We have moved from the BLM
LTVA in Quartzsite and are now back at our winter vacation property near
Benson, AZ. We decided with El Nino scheduled to make for a possible nasty
cold and rainy winter, we would this year not spend so much time
in Q. Terry can work/play in his shop just as he could do if in Quartszite
at the Rock and Gem Club.
I will be spending time
researching possibly a change from our 5th wheel to a MH. I do have must
haves... Class A GAS about 35 feet with full body paint, 4 door gas/electric
fridge, free standing dining table, TV in the living area not over the
center dash (but that could be changed out). Possible computer desk work
area.
A lot to ask for in year
range 2009 - 2014. Finding the above items are mostly offered in units
2012 or later. If you know of a unit that fits do email me.
For now not planning updates
on this site until we head off on the road in the spring. Who wants ro
read which days we went to the the grocery store, etc. Will post if something
big changes.
During this down time just
relaxing over the holidays in our winter vacation house to get ready for
spring and summer travels. Time to fire up the hot tub, me thinks.
May also be looking at work
camp host options for next summer. (I know ya have to be on top of this
early on as many campgrounds are already spoken for). I have been following
those sites which list these openings. Just not ready to submit a resume
for them at this time. May have to research more for the 2017 season.
We know of a couple of FS
sites that don't have camp hosts even though they have a host site for
them. May ask that they reconsider for us to move in and work the campground
so the local ranger would no longer have to. Not crazy about working
for a concessionaire managed campground. Have camped in so many of them
and not impressed with their management style, not so much with the hosts
but the company policies that the host have to conform to.
We are needing not to supplement
income but for the experience of it. A place in the northwest at a small
FS site where Terry could fish in his off hours. We have been there and
done that in so many parts of the northwest and are kinda running out of
places we would like to visit anymore. (See our index page for our travels
over the years) I know ya all think you can never see it all. I will work
through that thought over the winter. Now is the time when having unlimited
internet to explore options for next year.

Made it to Quartzsite, AZ and the BLM
LTVA.
And brought plenty of wood for campfires.
Been busy all summer traveling so now down
time to sit and watch the hummingbirds.
As you can see not much going on yet in
Q about tthe only vendor is K & B Tools but they are always the first
to open.
You can still go bowling down main street.
No traffic.
We did go to 3X Restaurant for Friday Night
Cod fish fry. Just as good or better than last year.

Got out of the Flagstaff area as rain
was predicted. Moved over to Bullhead City, AZ. We in the past like to
spend a week on the river in Laughlin, NV. Riverside Casino has a special
for $ 99 aweek or for $129 a week which includes two dinner and two breakfast
buffets. But we choose Silver View RV resort on the AZ side with high up
views and a great pool and spa for $98 a week. Was missing a pool and spa.
We stop here so we can wait for it to cool down a bit futher south in Quartzsite.
